Mixed Media Abstract Collage
ONLINE via Zoom with Mellissa Morris
Through a series of demonstrations, technique shares, and lectures students will learn how to develop and employ color, texture, transfers, collage, mark making, and mixed media techniques and applications to build a rich visual vocabulary. We will create a notebook/sketchbook/ART-BOOKS full of ideas and techniques that can be used in larger pieces of art or as pieces of art themselves. Wether working in abstraction or realism this class will open up many unexpected ways of getting interesting visual information onto the page. Zoom link emailed prior to the class.

About Mellissa: “I am a mixed media artist with a focus in drawing and painting medium. I live and work on Cape Cod.
I have a Masters Degree in Fine Arts Painting and Drawing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I do consider myself a life time learner/student and I am always taking new classes and learning new things. Currently, I have a working studio at 46 Pearl Street at the HyArts Campus. I teach drawing, painting, and mixed media courses with a bent towards expression and abstraction at the Cape Cod Art Center, Falmouth Art Center, and The Cotuit Center for the Arts. I also hold my own Energy and Creative art workshops offered Nation wide through A creator platform called PATREON.COM/MELLISSAMORRIS.
