Figure Drawing from a Live Model - Winter II

Join us Wednesday evenings in January for a class in figure drawing. The art of sketching the human figure helps the artists capture the essence of the human body’s musculature, texture and postures. All sessions are in person, drawing from a nude or lightly clothed model.

Table top easels are provided and attendees are welcome to bring their own standing easel. Materials are not provided. There is no instructor present.

We encourage artists who attend to explore the use of different materials, drawing styles and techniques. Attendees must bring appropriate cleaning materials for their wet media.

Recommended materials include:

• Newsprint, illustration or mixed media pads: 12×16, 18×24 or 24×36
• Charcoal stick and/or graphite pencil
• Pencil sharpener
• Kneaded (gum) eraser
• Cloth chamois
