Suitable for All Levels, All Mediums
It’s nearly Valentine’s Day! The perfect time to join us for a fun afternoon while creating a cake painting fit for gift giving – and enjoying a seasonal cocktail in the process. This is a no stress class and all levels are welcome. It is the perfect class for someone who would like to venture into painting, and more experienced painters can try something new.
We will have a brief slideshow of cake paintings by various artists and then the fun begins.
All mediums are welcome, oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, etc. If you have not painted before, email me and I can give you a small, inexpensive list of supplies you will need.
We’ll indulge in our still life subject after the paintings are done!
Materials provided by students:

Art has been an important part of Kathy’s life since childhood. She painted and attended workshops while pursuing a career in the medical field. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Yale University and worked as a nurse midwife until her retirement in 2020.
Kathy recently obtained her Certificate in Painting from RISD. She is an exhibiting artist at the Providence art Club and serves on the Board of the Portsmouth Art Guild. Primarily an oil painter, she has worked in acrylics and watercolor. She enjoys painting landscapes but her current passion is still lifes. She has recently started to teach workshops and is delighted with her students’ success!
