Bill Lane

FEB 8, 2025 | 2-4PM

The Portsmouth Arts Guild invites you to a demonstration by accomplished local watercolorist Bill Lane. Bill most recently was awarded First Place for his painting Hoppin Hill Farmhouse by the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, one of many awards he has received throughout his painting career.

Bill is intrigued by everyday scenes — a barren landscape, boats in the harbor, or city life on a busy day. He observes how the light plays into the scene and reflects off the subjects, and works to capture that light while enhancing the point-of-interest in the painting.

Bill is an Exhibiting Artist Member of the Providence Art Club as well as a Signature Artist Member in the New England Watercolor Society, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society and an artist member of the Copley Society of Art in Boston. He is also an outstanding instructor at the Guild. We are delighted to welcome Bill back to the Guild for a Saturday demonstration.

Learn more about Bill through his website: Bill Lane Watercolors and follow Bill on Instagram at billlanewatercolors.
