Stephanie Stroud - Framing 3 - Portsmouth Arts Guild

Stephanie will present examples of start to finish framing, including frame selection, matting options and mat cutting, archival mounting techniques, glass selection and cutting, frame options—ready made vs. custom, and fitting and finishing.  Stephanie’s demonstration will delve into choosing your framing treatments and address such design considerations as  the role the artist would want the framing to play in the presentation of the art.  In addition to the frames themselves, Stephanie will discuss matting options, mounting techniques, glass and other options, dust covers and various mounting techniques.  Students will have a thorough understanding of the available options to beautifully display their art.  Applicable to all media.  Upon registration, students will receive a detailed synopsis of the various options to be demonstrated and discussed.
