It’s the annual Quilt and Fiber Arts show!
Every year the Portsmouth Arts Guild and the Prudence Island Quilters Guild collaborate and honor quilters and textile artists. We look forward to this show and hope local textile artists will consider entering their artwork! Please read below for how to enter your art and important dates.

Entry Requirements
As we are an inclusive and welcoming art community, ALL ENTRIES will be accepted and displayed. Due to the size of quilts, entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Entries are limited to 1 per person for this exhibit.
Submission of Entries
All entries must FIRST be submitted ONLINE through Smarter Entry prior to the deadline above. Artists may submit one work in any media pertaining to fiber arts. Paintings, drawings, photography, digital, sculpture, and ceramics and more are accepted.
Entry Fees
Member Submissions – $20.00 for the first entry and $5.00 for each additional entry. Members apply Promo Code PAGMEM. Lifetime members use the code PAGLTM.
Non-members – $25 for the first entry and $7.50 for each additional.
Entry Fees are paid online through the Smarter Entry link below.
Payment for entries is entered FIRST in Smarter Entry, followed by uploading the photographs of your piece(s).
Requirements
- All artwork must be for sale.
- No quilts or other fiber art pieces exceeding throw size – 45 x 60 inches – will be accepted.
- Artists are limited to 1 submission. Entries are limited to the first 10 submissions to allow room for all Prudence Island Quilters Guild quilts to be displayed.
- All textiles and quilts must include a hanging sleeve and appropriate size dowel
- All work submitted must be original works created solely by the exhibiting artist.
- Gallery sales commission is 25% for each work sold.
- Work previously shown at any Portsmouth Arts Guild exhibit may not be submitted.
Framing Requirements
Artwork must be professionally presented, ready to hang with D-rings and proper wiring. No sawtooth hangers, clip-on, scratched or damaged frames accepted.
- Work must be labeled on the back with artist name, phone #, and title of work
- Framed works on paper must be under glass or acrylic glazing
- All textiles and quilts must include a hanging sleeve and appropriate size dowel
- Works on stretcher bars must be properly stretched and wired for hanging
- Framing is optional for gallery wrapped or cradled panels
PAG reserves the right to refuse any submission that does not meet requirements.
PLEASE NOTE:
Artworks are not insured by PAG. Artists should maintain their own insurance while work is on Guild premises. Although we take the utmost care of all works submitted, PAG is not responsible for any damage incurred after drop-off.
All packing material must be taken away by the artist upon drop off.
PAG retains the right to reproduce images of your work for publicity for the exhibition. By providing photographs of your art for this exhibit you grant the Portsmouth Arts Guild permission to use them for social media, promotions, newspapers and other media.
PAG reserves the right to reject any submission deemed inapproprite for the exhibit, or that does not meet acceptable community standards as determined by the Guild, even if otherwise having artistic merit.
